1915: April — October

Lúcia dos Santos)
and her three friends
saw in the sky a luminous figure of Angel. This happened between the months of April and October in the year of 1915.
1916: spring, summer, autumn
In 1916 three times
the Angel of Peace appeared
to Lucia Santos, Francisco Marto and Jacinta Marto. During the first two apparitions he tought the children how to pray. In the third apparition the Angel gave them Holy Communion.
May 13, 1917
The first Apparition of Our Lady to the children at the place called Cova da Iria. She had asked them to come here for six months in succession, on the 13th day, at the same hour. Our Lady asked the children, if they are willing to offer themselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to send them, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and of supplication for
the conversion of sinners. Our Lady asked to pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain the end of the war.
June 13, 1917
The second Apparition of Our Lady to Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta. The children learned their fate that day. Our Lady told that She will soon take Francisco and Jacinta to Heaven. But Lucia would have to stay longer, to learn how to read and then to work for Jesus and Mary, spreading in the world Devotion to Immaculate Heart of Mary.
July 13, 1917
The third Apparition of Our Lady to the same children. Our Lady asked the children again
to sacrifice themselves for sinners. It was the key apparition as would be discovered later. Namely during that day children got revelations that later on will be called as the Secret of Fatima. One part of the Secret was the vision of hell, where the souls of poor sinners go, as Our Lady said. She told the children that to save the sinners, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to Her Immaculate Heart. Our Lady said, that She will come later to ask for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.
August 13, 1917
On this day the Mayor took the children to a prison. Our Lady appeared to them a few days later, in Valinhos on
Sunday, August 19,
when they returned back home and went to pasture their sheep. She asked the children to pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners. Our Lady promised in the last month to work a miracle, so that all may believe.
September 13, 1917
The fifth Apparition of Our Lady. The large crowd (twenty-five to thirty thousand people)
gathered around the children before the apparition took place. People wanted Our Lady to cure sick, to return relatives from war, and so on. Our Lady announced that the miracle is going to happen during Her next apparition on October 13th.
The majority of the pilgrims had enjoyed a marvellous spectacle: they saw a shower of white petals falling from Heaven, or round, shining snowflakes which slowly descended and disappeared as they approached the ground.
October 13, 1917
The sixth Apparition of Our Lady. The Miracle. Our Lady came and said that She is Our Lady of Rosary, and asked to continue to say the Rosary every day. She said that the war will end soon and the soldiers will return to their homes. Then Our Lady went up into the sky. More than 70 thousand of pilgrims had witnessed the extraordinary spectacle of the Fatima
“dance of the sun”.

February 15, 1926
A new apparition of the Child Jesus in Pontevedra, Spain. Jesus asked Lucia to be persistent in the spreading the
Devotion of Five First Saturdays. He said, that the souls who make the five First Saturdays with fervour and to make reparation to the Heart of Heavenly Mother, please Him more than those who make fifteen, but are lukewarm and indifferent.
December 17, 1927
Father Aparicio asked Lucia to write down in details an account of the apparition of Pontevedra, especially regarding the request of Our Lady about
Redemptory Devotion, and also to show if they were connected with the messages of 1917. Lucia prayed fervently and Jesus, in a distinct voice, made her hear His words, that she allowed to write everything that is asked of her, and write everything the Most Holy Virgin revealed in the apparition when She spoke of this devotion, but for the rest of the Secret, He asked her to keep silence.

December 1, 1940
In the letter of December 1, 1940 to her confessor, Father Goncalves, Sister Lucia discloses the next secret of her conversation with Heavens: the Hearts of Our Good Lord and Our Good Heavenly Mother are sad and grieved because Portugal in its majority does not correspond either to Their graces or love. The Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary frequently complain about the sinful life of the majority of the people, even of those who call themselves practising Catholics.

The number of souls He meets through prayer and sacrifice is extremely small.
