Bible. Veil

The veil of the temple was rent in twain
from the top to the bottom

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Исх 26, 31. 2 Пар 3, 14. Евр 10, 20.
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Ам 8, 9.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Пс 30, 6.

Jesus Entered the Inner Veil

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Быт 22, 16. Пс 104, 9. Лк 1, 73.
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. Быт 22, 17.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Рим 4, 17.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Исх 22, 11.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: Пс 32, 11. Притч 19, 21.
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Лев 16, 15.
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Ин 14, 2. Евр 4, 14.

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. Исх 40, 1-4.
3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; Исх 16, 33. Чис 17, 10. Втор 10, 1. 3 Цар 8, 9. 2 Пар 5, 10.
5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Исх 25, 18.
6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: Исх 30, 10. Лев 16, 2.
8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Евр 7, 19. Евр 10, 1.
10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. Лев 11, 2. Чис 19, 7. Рим 14, 17.
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Евр 10, 1.
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Евр 10, 12.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: Лев 16, 14. Чис 19, 4.
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Лк 1, 74. Ин 17, 19. 1 Ин 1, 7. Тит 2, 14. Откр 1, 5.

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;Евр 1, 3.
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. Пс 109, 1. Пс 2, 8. 1 Кор 15, 25. Евр 1, 13.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Рим 11, 27. Евр 8, 8.
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Иер 31, 33-34.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Ин 10, 9. Ин 14, 6.
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; Мф 27, 51.

The ark is covered with a veil

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. 2 Пар 1, 3.
3 And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail. Исх 26, 33.
...
18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
19 And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark: Чис 7, 1. Евр 9, 4.
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22 And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail. Исх 26, 35.

The Lord spread the heavens like a thin veil

21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain (דֹּק), and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: Иер 10, 12.
23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Иов 12, 21.
24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Ис 40, 18.
