Bible. Enmity. Hypocrite

Outwardly they seem righteous,
but inside they are full of iniquity

Hypocrisy is such a style of life when a person does not live life, but plays a performance of life. God wants a person to work daily on the tasks sent to him from above (“Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”, Matt 6:34). That is, life is a daily rejection of self-care and bearing the cross sent by the Heavenly Father: “Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Mark 8:34). The crafty person does not want to live for God, tries to deceive Him and avoid carrying the cross by playing a performance of righteousness every day: “O generation of vipers (γεννήματα ἐχιδνῶν), who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance…” (Luke 3:7-8).

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Иез 22, 26. Лк 11, 52.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Мк 12, 40. Лк 20, 47.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
‹…›
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ос 6, 6. Мих 6, 8. Мф 12, 7. Лк 11, 42.
‹…›
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
‹…›
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Лк 11, 44. Деян 23, 3.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites (ὑποκριταί)! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents (ὄφεις), ye generation of vipers (γεννήματα ἐχιδνῶν), how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Мф 3, 7.

The hypocrites are the seed of the serpent

In the following verses of chapter 23 of the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 23:29-33), Christ points out to the scribes and Pharisees that they call those who killed the prophets their fathers, i.e. they themselves agree that they are descendants (sons) of the murderers of God's prophets. As fighters against the prophets (God's messengers), the scribes and Pharisees are the offspring of viper (serpent), i.e. the seed (offspring) of the ancient serpent (which is the devil and Satan) and, therefore, are serpents. But the scribes and Pharisees themselves do not recognize this fact, because the lifestyle they have chosen, hypocrisy, does not allow them to see reality.

Мф 3, 7.

56 Ye hypocrites (ὑποκριταί), ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Do I believe in the Holy Spirit… ?

I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary
Under Pontius Pilate He was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit (Πιστεύω εἰς τò πνεῦμα τò ἅγιον),
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Do they believe in the power of the spirit, do Christians believe in the power of the spirit?

Christians, just in case, arrange their affairs in such a way that they go well even in this case, if there is no God. Whether there is a God, whether there is no God, nothing changes in the arrangement of human life.
