Bible
This world. Little horn
From the time when the ancestors disobeyed the Creator the enmity between the serpent and the woman and between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman
(Gen 3:15), the battle, determines the history of mankind.
14
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou
art
cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;
upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Psa 72:9.
15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between
thy seed
( τοῦ σπέρματός σου)
and
her seed
( τοῦ σπέρματος αὐτῆς);
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Gen 14,18.
Psa 112:1,2,4.
The little horn is strengthened
not by its own power
In competition with the people of God, the atheistic power of the little horn
(Dan 8:9,24)
is strengthened
not by its own power.
According to the prophet Daniel, in the era of the reign of the states of the Hellenistic culture (in the vision of
chapter 8,
this is “the rough goat
is
the king of Grecia”
Dan 8:21,
having four horns, “toward the four winds of heaven”
Dan 8:8,
i.e. over all the earth), there is a retreat, and as a result of this retreat ("when the transgressors are come to the full"
Dan 8:23),
a new type of government arises — cruelty and deceit ("a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up"
Dan 8:23).
Daniel also sees this type of state as a “little horn” (small horn)
that
imperceptibly appears,
which seeks to subjugate a maximum of territories (“which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant
land”
Dan 8:9),
but its “heart” this type of government is exalted above the heavens, and even magnified himself even to the Prince of the host
(Dan 8:9-11).
This 'little horn' “shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, … and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people”
(Dan 8:24).
According to Daniel's vision, such a God-fighting state is characterized by extreme arrogance
(Dan 8:11)
and power
(כֹּחַ).
Moreover, his strength is strengthened by someone else (“his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power”
Dan 8:24).
Finally, “he shall be broken without hand”
(Dan 8:24).
8
Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken;
and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
Дан 8, 22.
Дан 11, 4.
9
And out of one of them came forth
a little horn,
which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant
land.
Дан 7, 8.
10
And it waxed great,
even
to the host of heaven;
and it cast down
some
of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Ис 14, 12.
11
Yea, he magnified
himself
even to
the prince of the host,
and by him the daily
sacrifice
was taken away, and
the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
1 Мак 1, 47.
12
And an host was given
him
against the daily
sacrifice
by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground;
and it practised, and prospered
(וְעָשְׂתָה וְהִצְלִֽיחָה׃).
Дан 11, 31.
Евр 10, 11.
21
And the rough goat
is
the king of Grecia: and the great horn that
is
between his eyes
is
the first king.
22
Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
Дан 8, 8.
Дан 11, 4.
23
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full,
a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences,
shall stand up.
Дан 8, 12.
Втор 28, 50.
24
And his power shall be mighty, but
not by his own power:
and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise
(וְהִצְלִיחַ וְעָשָׂה), and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Дан 8, 10.
1 Мак 1, 19, 23.
25
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand;
and he shall magnify
himself
in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes;
but
he shall be broken without hand.
1 Мак 1, 31.
The Revelation of John the Theologian directly points to “the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the devil and Satan”
(Rev 20:2),
as a source of theomachistic exaltation. Here the bestial god-fighting principle is represented by “a beast rise up out of the sea”
(Rev 13:1).
The beast receives his blasphemous and slanderous power directly from the dragon: “the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority”
(Rev 13:2).
2
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as
the feet
of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him
his power
( τὴν δύναμιν αὐτοῦ), and
his seat
( τὸν θρόνον), and
great authority
( ἐξουσίαν μεγάλην).
…
6
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God ( εἰς βλασφημίαν πρὸς τὸν θεόν), to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Putting his mind on a par with the mind of God
Definition of the Lord God:
Because his heart was lifted up, and being a man, and not God, he puts his mind on a par with the mind of God, then he will die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers.
1
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thine heart
is
lifted up, and thou hast said, I
am
a God, I sit
in
the seat of God, in the midst of the seas;
yet thou
art
a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Дан 5, 20.
Деян 12, 22.
3
Behold, thou
art
wiser than Daniel;
there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
Дан 4, 5.
4
With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
5
By thy great wisdom
and
by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
6
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
Иез 28, 2.
7
Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
Иез 26, 7.
Иез 30, 11.
8
They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of
them that are
slain in the midst of the seas.
Иез 26, 20.
Иез 31, 16, 18.
9
Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I
am
God?
but thou
shalt be
a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
10
Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken
it, saith the Lord GOD.
Praise the Lord, all nations
The hostility of the seed of the serpent to the seed of the Woman is quite understandable, since their enmity among themselves is determined by the Creator himself
(Gen 3:15).
Concerning the Lord God Almighty, only praise is worthy: “O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people”
(Psa 117:1).
The blasphemy against the Almighty is
not justified
by anything, it is completely
unacceptable
and
unforgivable
in this confrontation
(Matt 12:32).
The Lord is God Almighty
and one should not be deceived about this.

O praise the LORD
(הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־יְהוָה),
all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

2
For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD
endureth
for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
Пс 99, 5.
31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but
the blasphemy
against
the
Holy
Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it
shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the
world
to come.
3
Know ye that the LORD he
is
God:
it is
he
that
hath made us,
and not we ourselves;
we are
his people,
and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,

For
the LORD
is
good;
his mercy
is
everlasting;
and his truth
endureth
to all generations.

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine,
the LORD
(יְהֹוָה)
appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I

walk before me, and be thou perfect.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Дан 8, 10.
13
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

All the kings of the nations,
even
all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,
and as
the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit;
as a carcase trodden under feet.
20
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land,
and
slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

24
The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying,
Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass;
and as I have purposed,
so
shall it stand:
25
That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
4 Цар 19, 35.
26
This
is
the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this
is
the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
27
For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul
it?
and his hand
is
stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
