В тесной связи с представлением Оригена о различном достоинстве воскресших тел находится его учение о двояком воскресении мертвых. По его мнению, должно различать воскресение тех людей, которые наследуют после него вечный позор (opprobrium aeternum), и восвресеяне тех, которые после него получат вечную жизнь во Христе Иисусе (vitam aeternam in Christo lesu).[3]
Основание для такого двоякого воскресения мертвых катехет Александрийский находит в
Ап. 20:5.
Он допускает, с одной стороны, воскресение праведников для спасения, а с другой — воскресение грешников для мучения. Он называет
воскресение добрых первым,
а воскресение злых — вторым.
Первое воскресение,
по его мнению, будет радостным, а второе—печальным, словом, достойным поведения и жизни грешника.[4]
