"The prince of this world"
desires precisely such a separation of the world from God and lures man onto the path of this temptation.
On the contrary, revelation clearly and decisively teaches that God exercises His providence in the world and that He directs the world.
In relation to the Divine Sophia the creaturely Sophia is in this sense a
"receptacle"
(ἐκμαγεῖον), where the Proto-image is reflected. …
Creaturely sophianicity presupposes the possibility of unlimited sophianization, the approximation of the image to the Proto-image. …
This eternal life is without limit. It is inexhaustible for creation, which is why the the Divine Sophia and the creaturely Sophia converge forever without coinciding;
and in this sense this convergence is
"infinite life."
… Creation has need of this providential action, for it is incomplete, dissatisfied with itself;
it thirsts for fulfillment, seeks God. Theological discourse usually expresses this idea by saying that creation seeks and receives God's grace.
In their inner significance, all of these paths on which God guides us to salvation are determined by the connection between image and Proto-image, between the Divine Sophia and the creaturely Sophia. In actu, precisely this connection is divine providence.
