⁸ And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD (מִפְּנֵי יְהוָה) God amongst the trees of the garden. Psa 138:6. Amo 9:2.

¹⁵ And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
¹⁶ And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD (מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה), and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

¹² And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
¹³ For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD (אֶת־פְּנֵי יְהוָה); and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD (אֶת־פְּנֵי יְהוָה) thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: Exo 23:17. Exo 34:23.
