²³ And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
²⁴ But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
²⁵ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 1Jo 1, 2. Rom 8, 34. 1Ti 2, 5.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Heb 6, 20.
¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling (συμπαθῆσαι) of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. Isa 53, 3, 9. Heb 2, 17.

⁴ The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Heb 5, 6. Heb 7, 17.

⁹ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
¹⁰ Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
¹¹ Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
¹² And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Jer 23, 5. Zec 3, 8.
¹³ Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. Jer 3, 17. Heb 3, 1. Eph 2, 14.
¹⁴ And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
¹⁵ And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God. Isa 49, 1. Isa 57, 19. Eph 2, 13.
