Bible. FornicationGod's people have gone a whoring from under their God
12
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused
them
to err, and
they have gone a whoring from under their God.
13 They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery. Deu 12, 2.
1
Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as
other
people:
for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God,
thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
Eze 16, 33.
Eze 20, 32.
Hos 2, 12.
God's people defiled the land and committed adultery
2
The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms:
for the land hath committed great whoredom,
departing
from the LORD.
Hos 3, 1.
Eze 23, 3.
30
Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers?
and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?
31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you. Eze 16, 21.
1
They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again?
shall not that land be greatly polluted?
but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers;
yet return again to me, saith the LORD.
Deu 24, 4.
2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. Eze 16, 24. 3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed. 4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? Mat 6, 9. Eze 16, 43. 5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest. 6 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. Jer 2, 20. 7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. Eze 16, 46. Eze 23, 2. 8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. Eze 23, 11. 9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. Jer 2, 27.
God's people have forsaken the LORD their God
35
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore
bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
Jer 2, 32.
Jer 3, 21.
Hos 2, 13.

Is
Israel a servant?
is
he a homeborn
slave?
why is he spoiled?
… 19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts. Hos 5, 5. 20 For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot. God's people fall in their iniquity
3
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom,
and
Israel is defiled.
Eze 16, 35.
